Hi!  My name is Lisa Wilson. I am so excited for this school year! This is my 7th  year at Shepard. I have previously taught Kindergarten, first, and second grade.  I am excited to be back in Kindergarten.

I grew up in Dallas.  I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction.  I taught Kindergarten and First Grade in Red Oak ISD. I worked on the committee to develop the transitional First, before staying home with my daughters.  When I returned to teaching full time, I was hired at Davis Elementary to teach second grade.  The next year, I was placed at Shepard and I have been a proud Patriot ever since.  I taught second grade for the last six years and I am so excited to be back in Kindergarten.

I have been married for 35 years to my husband, Russell Wilson.  We have three beautiful children. 

Sarah teaches 7th grade at Frankford and has a Master's Degree in Creative Writing from Hamline University.  

Rebecca teaches preschool and will be completing her certificate in Elementary Ed. this spring.

 Sam is a senior at Plano Sr. High this year.  He reached the rank of Eagle Scout this past fall.  He plays baseball for Plano Senior High and the Dallas Patriots.  He has committed to Austin College to play baseball.

We are also blessed with our 3-year-old grandson and 11-month-old granddaughter.

  • Mrs. Wilson's Class Schedule

    7:00 am - 7:30 am Early Morning Drop-Off. During this time, students will be either in the gym or in the cafeteria for breakfast until the 7:30 am bell rings.

    7:30 am - 7:40 am Greet Students

    7:40 am - 7:45 am  Announcements

    7:45 am - 8:00 am  Daily Meeting

    8:00 am - 9:30 am Math

    9:30 am - 12:00 pm  Reading/ELA 

    12:00 pm - 12:30 pm Recess

    12:30 am - 1:00 pm Lunch

    1:05 pm - 1:55 pm Specials

    2:00 pm - 2:15 pm  Reading/ELA 

    2:15 pm - 2:45 I/I

    2:45 pm - 2:55 pm Pack Up/Dismissal

    Throughout the day, each class also does whole group bathroom trips, and children are allowed to request a bathroom break at any time.

    Library:

    Each class gets 45 minutes at a time. The time slots are on Wednesdays.

    Please contact your grade level teacher for your student's specific time slot.

    PACE:

    PACE students receive 30 minutes of PACE per week starting in February 2024.  

    Counselor:

    Each class gets 30 minutes at a time and 1 day each Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays.
