When the building opens, students eating breakfast will be directed to the cafeteria. Students not eating breakfast will be directed to the cafeteria or one of the collaborative spaces to wait until dismissal to the classrooms at 8:42 a.m.

Students arriving by carpool should be dropped off in front of the building. Please enter the carpool lane from Stadium Drive.

    ID Cards

Students will take pictures during the school day on August 22, 2022 and will be given a lanyard at that time. Beginning August 23, 2022 all students are expected to wear their IDs daily.

Upon dismissal, students are expected to leave the building immediately. Carpool drivers should meet their students in the front of the building. Bus riders should exit through the back of the building. For safety purposes, dismissals may be staggered until a routine is established.

  • A Safety Reminder from Plano ISD

The safety and well-being of all Plano ISD students are always a top priority. Schools across the country have seen a significant increase in threats through social media. In order to make sure that every student receives an exceptional education in a safe and supportive learning environment, we strive to ensure that our classrooms are safe from anyone who may attempt to cause fear, disruption or alarm.

As some students may have toys that look like or appear as real weapons (e.g., Nerf gun, BB gun, air gun, etc.), Plano ISD asks for your partnership in building awareness regarding safety concerns. Please talk to your child and help prevent these toys from becoming a perceived threat sent via social media, text messages, email or in person, with any type of threat attached. Such perceived or implied threats to a Plano ISD school, student or staff member, even as a prank, will be investigated by the school and law enforcement that may result in school and/or criminal consequences depending on the severity of the incident.

Possession of prohibited items and misuse of technology resources and the Internet violate the Plano ISD Student Code of Conduct and are subject to disciplinary action, which may include:

    • In- or Out-of-School Suspension
    • District Alternative Education Placement
    • Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Placement
    • Possible Criminal Charges

Parents are asked to take the following steps to support the safety and wellness of your children over the winter break and throughout the school year:

    • Please monitor your child’s online and social media behavior
    • Talk to your children about the consequences of posting inappropriate content or threats through social media
    • Encourage your child to be an upstander and make responsible decisions.

The Student Management Team and other district personnel have worked together to develop informational web resources aimed at helping families identify and address safety concerns. Additionally, Plano ISD will continue to provide student guidance and build awareness around student safety.

We appreciate your partnership in helping us provide a safe and supportive learning environment.
