All Vines HS students are issued a Lenovo 500e Chromebook Gen 3 and a charger. Students are responsible for returning their devices in good working condition at the end of the year. Visit the district page regarding device checkout for additional information. Most physical and software problems are easily resolved by visiting the CTA (Office E104A).

Office Hours
Students can expect to find me in my office (E104A) during these hours.
8:45am - 10:00am*
1:12pm - 1:46pm**
4:25pm - 4:45pm
*Office Hours begin at 8:55 on Wednesdays
**No Office hours from 1:12pm - 1:46pm on Fridays.

Parent Portal
In addition to providing direct access to grades and attendance information for your student, the Parent Portal gives you direct access into your child's classroom information, registration to your child's campus eNews, district-wide information and links to other often used services.

Google Classroom
Every student in the district has a Google account. With this account, they are able to access a wealth of productivity tools, including a cloud-based word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation program. They also have a "drive" that allows them to store and transport files between school and home.

Computers@Home Program
Plano ISD offers a unique Computers@Home program to help increase academic achievement by providing a fully functioning home computer system to students who do not have technology available in their home. This program is completely free to all eligible students in Plano ISD.

I am new to Vines HS. How do I get my Chromebook and student ID?
Posted by:Visit the counselor’s office. A counselor will guide you to the CTA’s office for initial checkout.

My home internet is too unreliable. What can I do?
Posted by:Visit the CTA. The student will be issued a hotspot for them to possess until the end of the school year or their enrollment.

What do I need to do if my Chromebook breaks?
Posted by:Visit the CTA’s office during office hours. Office hours are posted to the right

I can’t access a classroom resource (such as a textbook, google classroom, etc). Who do I speak to?
Posted by:Speak to your teacher. The teacher will work with the help desk or CTA to resolve the issue.

What do I need a new ID or leave mine at home?
Posted by:Vines no longer issues temporary IDs. Students who lose their ID or leave it at home must purchase a new one. IDs are issued at the front office. IDs cost $5. Students must pay with cash, or the $5 will be charged to an account.

Is this the same account as my lunch debt?
Posted by:No. This debt must be settled with cash at the front office or through https://studentquickpay.com/pisd/.

I left my Chromebook or charger at home and I need to borrow one for the school day. What do I do?
Posted by:Visit the CTA. Students will get a loaner but they are required to return the borrowed device to the CTA’s office before 4:45 pm.

Something came up, and I am unable to visit the CTA. Should I leave my device with a teacher?
Posted by:It is the student’s responsibility to maintain control of the borrowed device until they turn it over to the CTA. Students are not to leave their device with anybody other than the CTA unless instructed to do so.

What if I need to borrow additional devices before I returned the original?
Posted by:The CTA will issue the device and notify the student’s assistant principal who will ensure that the student returns the devices.

I lost my device! What do I need to do?
Posted by:The CTA will issue the student a new device on-the-spot to keep until the end of the school year or enrollment. The CTA will inform finance and the student’s assistant principal.

How much do replacements cost?
Posted by:A replacement laptop costs $550, a charger costs $27.50, and a hotspot costs $85. Prices vary if the student is enrolled in the Free and Reduced Lunch program. Parents may settle all debts on https://studentquickpay.com/pisd/.
