McKenna Preston holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and an all-level teaching certification from Texas State University, San Marcos. Currently, in her third year of teaching Theatre at Renner Middle School, Ms. Preston has demonstrated a strong commitment to her students both in the classroom and in rehearsals.

Each fall, Ms. Preston directs a musical production and prepares her students for participation in the PISD Middle School One Act Play contest in the Spring. In 2023, her direction of "Lafayette No. 1" by Mandy Conner led the Renner MS company to achieve First Place, along with numerous individual actor awards. In 2024, under her guidance, the Renner MS company presented "The One Act Play Disaster" by Don Zolidis, earning accolades for Best Technical Team and Third Place, in addition to several actor awards.

Ms. Preston is eager to continue fostering her students' talents and looks forward to another successful year at Renner Middle School.
