I have taught English Language Arts and Reading for 5th Grade through 8th Grade. I am beginning my ninth year teaching. This will be my second year teaching at Renner Middle School. I have taught in Texas and Florida. I have always had a love for reading and creative writing growing up, and it has continued to grow through my years as a teacher. I decided to pursue becoming a teacher in college because I love to work with children and teenagers of varying ages.  I am very passionate about watching kids grow and develop confidence in reading and writing as well as their many talents they desire to pursue. 

In my spare time I enjoy spending time in the outdoors hiking, running, playing tennis, or exploring a new beach or nature scene. I also love playing the piano, gardening, reading a great book, or cooking. 

I am excited for this school year, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with each student at Renner Middle School. I anticipate a great year getting to know many new students.
