Mrs. Neelima Singh
I grew up in India and moved to the United States in 1996. I have lived in Plano for the past 22 years. I earned a Master's in Botany from India and a Master's of Arts in Teaching Science from the University of Texas at Dallas.
This is my 18th year of teaching science at Renner Middle School. Throughout my career, I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Science, and in 2014, I was nominated as Teacher of the Year. Additionally, I served as the Department Head for Science, and I was part of the district curriculum writing team.
I have been married for 26 years and have two children, Pratyush and Kush. Pratyush graduated in 2019 from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Computer Engineering, and he works for IBM in New York City. Kush is an entrepreneur and founded Hitch, a company that seeks to make intercity travel more efficient. My hobbies include traveling, cooking, listening to music, and spending time with friends & family. I hope to share my love, passion, and enthusiasm for science with my students this year. I am grateful to teach at such a great school & supportive community.
