Hello, my name is Coach Ken Hentges.  I am the Athletic Director, Head Football Coach and Physical Education Team Leader of Renner Middle School.  This is my first year at Renner, but I am no stranger to the West side of town.  I have taught at Frankford MS and Robinson MS for a combined 6 years.  I also grew up in Plano and graduated from Plano East in 2006; Texas Tech University in 2010.  My wife Kathleen and I live in McKinney with our 2-year-old son, Hugh.

I coach kids because I believe I can make a difference in a young person's life.  Seeing the growth of our student-athletes over the years is one of the most rewarding aspects of this profession.  I try to keep this in focus every day, knowing that we aren't going to get to where we want to go overnight.  Consistently working hard for the things you want without giving up is the key to a successful life.
