I can't believe I have been teaching at Renner for 10 years!  I currently teach 6th grade English Language Arts and Reading, both Honors and On-Level, and I love it.    

I graduated from the University of Texas at  Austin with a degree in Journalism.  I spent my first four years after college working as a television news reporter and anchor at local news stations in Texas and upstate New York.  I enjoyed reporting, but I felt a calling for teaching.  It was in my blood after being raised by parents who both had meaningful careers in education.  I decided to get my Master's degree in education at Hunter College in New York City.  It was the best decision I ever made!

My fiancé, Ethan, and I have six children between us, so our children keep us very busy. My oldest daughter, a graduate of Renner and Plano West HS, will be a registered nurse once she takes the exam in December 2024. My son, also a graduate of Renner, attends Texas A&M and plays for the Aggie Lacrosse team. My youngest daughter is a sophomore at Shepton High School and busier than ever in the theatre program!  I do manage to get some time to myself where I enjoy gardening, walking my dogs, practicing photography, and watching any of the newest and most captivating series on Nexflix.
