This is my 28th year of working in education. During my years in education, I served as a pre-school director, elementary teacher, middle school teacher, and high school counselor. My responsibilities include counseling individuals, small groups, and parents, while organizing and monitoring peer mediation. I believe building a relationship with my students, the school and the community is vital in planning and organizing activities to help students transition to high school, college, and society. I earned my B.S. from the University of North Texas with an emphasis on Science. I received my M.S. in Counseling from Texas A&M University - Commerce (CACREP Program), along with my LPC - S. 

My husband Todd and I enjoy being empty nesters and love playing with our grandchildren. We have two amazing sons and two beautiful daughters-in-laws. James & Corinne and our grandchildren live in Austin. James is a Captain for the City of Austin and Corinne is a teacher. Daniel & Tara and their children just moved back to Texas from Alaska. Daniel is a (DVM) Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Tara is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  I'm very thankful my adult kids are helping and serving in a professional field by investing in people. In my spare time I love playing with my grandchildren, being with my family, visiting with friends, gardening and investing my time in serving others.
