Ms. Shelly Bedard, M.Ed.

Hello Murphy Mavericks!

     My name is Shelly Bedard, and I am so excited about joining Murphy Middle School this year! This will be my 29th year as an educator (25 of those years in Plano ISD). At Murphy, I will serve as the Special Education Assistant Team Leader and teach 8th Grade Special Education for English/Language Arts and Social Studies. Prior to coming to Murphy, I was an ESL Coach and Interventionist and 3rd Grade Team Leader/2nd and 3rd Grade Teacher at Stinson Elementary.  I have also been a classroom teacher for grades 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6th in Dallas ISD and Waco ISD prior to coming to Plano ISD in 2000. I love building relationships with my students and helping each one achieve their specific goals.

     When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my two daughters - Bridget is in 10th grade and Brooke is in 9th grade.  We love to travel, swim, and  play with our two dogs, Rylie and Angel.  Please feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns.  I'm looking forward to a wonderful year with the Murphy Mavericks!
