I was born in Portland, Maine and raised in Houston, Texas. I am a graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelors of Music Education degree and the University of Houston, Moore's School of Music, with a Masters Degree in Viola Performance. I am a former student of Dr. Kathryn Steely and former Principal Violist of Houston Symphony, Wayne Brooks. I have won several concerto competitions, including the Moores School of Music, Baylor School of Music, Houston Civic Symphony, Clear Lake Symphony and the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Young Artists Competition. I have performed in master classes for Helen Callus, Caroline Coade, Josef Spacek, James Dunham, Ivo van der Werf and Kathryn Plummer. I was invited to perform with the Prague Summer Nights Music Festival and the Methow Valley Music Festival in Winthrop, Washington. In 2019 I gave my European Debut as a soloist in a sold out audience at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, Germany.  In addition to teaching I performed extensively throughout the Houston, Waco and DFW area as a soloist, orchestral and chamber musician and am currently a section violist for the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra. When I am not teaching or performing I enjoy my time at home with all of my animals and smart home.
