Hello Maverick Families!

I’m excited to be returning for my second year at Murphy Middle School and my ninth year with PISD. Throughout my career, I’ve had the pleasure of subbing, starting as a special education paraprofessional, and teaching 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades, as well as working in special education self-contained classes. I recently completed my Administration Leadership Certification and earned my Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas.  My goal is to be an assistant principal, then principal in either a primary or secondary school. I love both elementary and middle school pretty equally.  

On a personal note, I’m married to the wonderful Mr. Fenter, who is an active volunteer in PISD and even takes on the role of Santa's helper during the holidays. We have four children, all of whom have either attended or are currently attending PISD schools. Our family also includes a Mini Aussiedoodle (Rocky), a chicken, a duck, a turtle, a rabbit, a cat named Iggy, and two hamsters.

Outside of school, I love watching my son perform with the Plano East band, cheering on my daughter during her softball games, and visiting my oldest daughter in San Antonio as she starts her culinary school adventure. My youngest and I share a love for animal shows, and he’s always ready to share an interesting animal fact. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, trying new foods, crafting, and creating art. Traveling as a family is something we all look forward to.

I’m looking forward to another wonderful year with the Murphy Middle School community!  I'm excited for my new role as Focus teacher this year.  I love working directly with our Mavs.
