This is my fourth year teaching at Murphy Middle School. In the past three years, I have taught every grade levels, but 7th is my favorite! Before coming to Murphy, I taught high school science at a private school in the area. I have learned that middle school students are my passion. I love helping them grow and discover who they are during this season of their life. I will be teaching Honors and Onlevel Science 7 and a section of 6th grade Future Ready. This year I will also be the Science Fair Coordinator for our campus.

I graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, TN with a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I am married to my husband, Mark, and we have 3 children. Ryan graduated from the University of Oklahoma and is now doing genetic research, Natalie is a senior at Texas A&M majoring in Kinesiology with a Psychology minor, and Caroline is a sophomore at Baylor majoring in Child and Family studies with a Religion minor. When I am not doing school work, I love spending time with my family. I love a good road trip and game nights are always a favorite. I also enjoy cooking, getting coffee with friends, and being outdoors.
