Welcome to ART with MRS. TENNESSEE! GO SPARTANS!  Mrs. Tennessee graduated from Churchill High School in San Antonio, TX in the year 2000.  She went on to study art at the University of North Texas in Denton where she acquired her degree in Visual Art Studies in 2005.  GO MEAN GREEN EAGLES!!  Her first year of teaching was spent in Dallas ISD teaching sixth grade art.  She then transitioned to the high school setting teaching in Irving ISD for seven years where she taught ART 1, CERAMICS, PAINTING, FIBERS and ADVANCED PLACEMENT 3D STUDIO ART.  Mrs. Tennessee began her ninth year in Plano ISD where she had the opportunity to teach with her best friend and mentor at Williams High School.  She taught ART 1, PRE-AP ART 1 and ART 2.  In 2016, Mrs. Tennessee returned to her hometown to teach art at her alma mater and give back to the community. She served three years at Churchill High School and was excited to expand the art program by launching the AP STUDIO 3D program in the FALL of 2017. She also introduced the Art and Media Communications curriculum brought about by the Texas Cultural Trust Digital Pioneer Certification and training.  Finally, in 2019 Mrs. Tennessee got the opportunity to return to her DFW home in Plano ISD to dedicate her talents and love to the students of BIRD and GUINN SPC’s. 

Mrs. Tennessee’s TWO most important classroom principles are treat everyone and everything with RESPECT and to ENGAGE on a daily basis.
