I grew up in Plano and am a proud Plano East alumna. I’ve had the privilege of living overseas while my husband played soldier for over 22 years, but we moved back to Texas as soon as he retired in 2008. That’s when I began my undergrad at the University of North Texas. After many years in both middle and elementary school classrooms, I decided that I really wanted to be a school librarian, so back to UNT I went. This is my 10th year in education, and I am thrilled to be the new librarian at Mitchell!
On a personal note, I have five children, nine wonderful grandkids, and two dogs. I love to garden, travel, and as you can likely guess, READ!
