Buffy Edenkrans

I teach 6th grade English at Murphy Middle School and my experience spans over 28 years as well as several grade levels. Growing up in the Northeast, I attended Syracuse University and proudly tout my bright orange as my family legacy and heritage. Moving to Charleston, South Carolina for my first teaching position also provided an opportunity for me to attend The Citadel and complete my Master’s Degree in Reading. After 7 years in South Carolina, I joined the PISD team at Miller Elementary in 1998.  Taking time off from teaching until my two children were school age, I then resumed my career at Boggess Elementary, where I remained for 10 years, with the last 6 as 5th Grade Team Leader.  Finally, joining the staff at MMS makes my career complete.

I have two children, Anneli (23 years old) and Mattias (22 years old) both of whom moved through Boggess, Murphy, McMillen and PESH.  Anneli graduated from OU and is currently a teacher at Frisco ISD. Mattias gradiated from Penn State University. He currently works for Marcus and Millichap in Boston, Massachusetts. I enjoy all sports, family time, laughing, reading, music and I constantly set goals for myself.  Family time at Pickleball, game nights and watching sports fill my heart and soul. I am thrilled to be a part of the Murphy Middle School Community and Culture while I work hard, have fun and show enthusiasm towards learning for all!
