Welcome to Murphy Middle School, Home of the Mavericks!

I joined the PISD Family of educators in August of 2000 and was assigned to teach a bilingual kindergarten class. Over the years, I moved from being a classroom teacher and was privileged to work with all students in the capacity of Special Education Teacher, School Counselor and Assistant Principal. These experiences prepared me for my appointment as Forman Principal in July of 2007 when I was given the responsibility to lead PISD students to higher academic excellence! I was excited to become a Dooley Dragon in August 2017, where I was able to continue supporting teaching and learning through the supervision and development of our fabulous teachers! Starting with the 2023 - 2024 school year, I was appointed as Murphy Principal, which continues to grow me as an educational leader focused on the middle years of student learning and programming.

We have a exceptional team of educators in our Maverick Nation who are dedicated to growing themselves professionally and keeping abreast of rising academic standards.
