Hey there! My name is Jordan Mickelson and I am a fourth grade teacher at McCall Elementary. Just a little bit about me, I grew up in a small town in southern California just outside of Los Angeles, loving the beach and football. I received my bachelors from Cal State University of Northridge and my masters from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. After college, I settled down in the North Idaho area teaching sixth grade, coaching middle school football, and rasing two amazing kiddos. In 2017, after many wonderful years in North Idaho and Eastern Washington, we moved to Plano and have been enjoying our Texas adventure ever since!
I really do enjoy what I do and feel so lucky teaching, coaching, and shaping young minds. I think something unique that I bring to the classroom, is a passion for building and investing in the classroom community and culture. By focusing on creating authentic relationships, incorporating fun, and establishing a community of mutual respect, my students are able to come into a space where they feel valued, safe, and are constantly being challenged with new opportunities.
