Hello Rice Ravens!! I am excited to be starting my 20th year at Rice Middle School and 30th year of education. My path to education was not straight but I am glad I got here as soon as I could! I started out with a degree in Restaurant, Hotel, Institutional Management (RHIM) from Texas Tech University (Go RED RAIDERS!!) and then moved on to a degree in Home Economics Education. I have taught grades 6 through 12 in El Paso, Texas; Floydada, Texas and Maple Valley, Washington. I completed my masters in School Counseling at Seattle University and lived in the Seattle area for 8 years. I have always loved going to school and learning. I continue to grow and learn as a school counselor and educator by working with others and getting to know students and parents. My goal is to be a positive role model to all children and adults that walk through the door at Rice Middle School.

I am the mother of twin daughters that are now 9th graders at Jasper!! I love to spend time with my girls and supporting their passions. We like to travel and spend time with family, attend local theater productions, hang out at the library, and take care of our 2 cats and  miniature dachshund.
