  • My name is Karen Williams, and it is truly an honor to be trusted as the principal of Beverly Elementary. I believe that being an educator is a calling to serve students, families, and the community.  I look forward to getting to know each and every one of our Beverly Bobcats!  My primary goal is to build upon the great accomplishments of the Beverly students and staff.  My values are closely aligned with your school motto, “We Believe, We Achieve, We Excel”.  I believe in creating an environment in which everyone feels valued and students are able to excel in their academic and social/emotional growth.  By fostering this environment, our school will promote the highest achievement for all students.   As a Beverly community, I look forward to coming together to ensure students continue to develop a love for learning and a strong foundation of academic success.

I am Plano ISD proud!  My own academic foundation was built through the Plano schools; Weatherford, Haggard, Vines and Plano Senior High School. My Plano education encouraged me to chase my dreams and graduate with my teaching degree from Texas A&M University.  As a young teacher in the district and with the help of Plano ISD,  I was able to complete my Master’s degree through University of North Texas which powered my lifelong learning journey.  For my first ten years as an educator, I was a second grade teacher and team leader in Plano ISD at Rasor Elementary and third grade teacher at Daffron Elementary.  I taught third and fifth grade for 10 years in McKinney ISD at Valley Creek Elementary.  Once I finished my Administration Certification, I returned to Plano ISD and was an Assistant Principal at Skaggs Elementary and Hedgcoxe Elementary.  My twenty seven years of educator experience have given me so many wonderful opportunities to make a difference in the lives of students and their families.  I am so excited to be your Beverly Bobcat Principal!

My family is my heart.  I am fortunate to have a wonderful family and support system around me.  My husband Greg and I have been married for almost 28 years and have two amazing sons.  Sean is a junior at Texas A&M studying Political Science, and Ryan is a seventh grader who loves playing his trumpet in the band.  My siblings all live close by and are former Plano Wildcats as well!  Family is important to me and as a parent, I want our community to know my daily goal is for our students to feel cared for and safe in our school building in order to provide the best opportunity for learning to take place.

I am thrilled to be the newest member of the Beverly Bobcat family and I look forward to meeting you soon.
