Hello! I teach English at Jasper. This is my fifth year at Jasper; I moved to Plano from North Carolina, where I taught English for eight years. My passion is writing and helping students in their journey to examine, explain, and defend their thinking. My goal is to help each student gain confidence to take learning risks and be able to communicate more effectively. When we finish the year, my students are more confident readers, speakers and writers!

I love cooking, horse back riding, snorkeling, hiking and fly-fishing. My favorite sport is soccer - I am a Liverpool and FC Dallas fan. My favorite player is Ricardo Pepi because he is a local hero. I am married to Steve; we have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. I have a dog named 'Shelby' and we often walk The Tribute Shoreline Nature Trail on weekends. My favorite things about Texas are the people, walking trails and Tex Mex food!
