Hello, my name is Leslie Berends.  I have been teaching at Jasper High School since the first year the school opened in 1996.  Jasper is my home away from home.  I have taught a wide variety of social studies subjects over the years, but I am currently the Team Leader of World History, and I teach AP World History and Honors World History.  I was born and raised in Plano, and I graduated from Plano Senior High School.  I received my Bachelor of Arts in both History and Political Science from Stephen F. Austin State University and my Masters in Secondary Education and History from the University of North Texas.
