Hello! I am Mr. English, a dedicated special education teacher, an enthusiastic basketball coach, and passionate math teacher. Inspired by educators like Jaime Escalante, who believed in the potential of every student, I have devoted my career to providing supportive and challenging environments for my students to thrive, both academically and personally.

For 20 years, I have worked with students with diverse needs, helping them to unlock their potential and achieve their personal best. My approach to teaching is student-centered, holistic, and tailored to the individual needs of each student. I believe that with the right support, encouragement, and strategies, every student can succeed.

In addition to my work in the classroom, I am also the basketball coach at Jasper High School and Plano West Senior High School. I believe that sports can play a crucial role in a child's development, teaching important life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and self-discipline. My coaching philosophy emphasizes not only skill development but also personal growth and character development.

My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that every student has the ability to succeed and that it is my responsibility as a teacher to provide the support, tools, and encouragement necessary for them to do so. I strive to create a classroom environment that is inclusive, supportive, and engaging. I believe in setting high expectations for all my students and providing the necessary support to help them meet those expectations. I also believe in the importance of building strong relationships with my students and their families, as this is the foundation for a successful educational experience.
