Patricia Young
This will be my 31st year in education, and I am really excited to be at Jasper HS!! In 1992, I earned a bachelor’s of science in chemistry from the University of Texas at Dallas. Briefly, I worked as a quality control chemist and quickly decided that was not for me. In 1993, I attended the University of North Texas to become a certified teacher. After 27 years as a chemistry teacher, I decided to pursue my dream and get my master’s degree in library science. In December 2019, I completed my master’s program and became a certified school librarian.
As a librarian, I have the privilege of working with all students and staff. My goals are to help students develop skills for lifelong learning and to support teachers and the whole school community. I look forward to a great school year and serving the Jasper community!
