Hello wolves! This is my 12th year teaching here at Plano West, and I am excited to be teaching both Anatomy & Physiology and AP Physics 1. I also serve as the team leader for both courses. Over the years, I've taught a variety of science courses, including On-Level Physics, AP Biology, Honors Physics, and Earth Space Science. 

I am proud to be a National Board Certified Teacher, a distinction earned by less than 0.4% of Texas teachers.  I've also served on the district's Physics and A&P curriculum writing teams.  The past 2 summers, I taught an introductory biomedical science course to advanced middle school students through a program called CTY.

I grew up in Florida and then Duncanville, graduating from Duncanville High School before earning my B.S. in Health from Texas A&M University.  For 3 years during college, I worked at CVS as a Pharmacy Technician.

At home, I stay busy with my family - my wonderful husband, our two young daughters, and our two very energetic dogs. We love traveling as a family, especially when it involves a beach or hiking.

We currently have 3 class pets: Medusa the Blue Tongue Skink, Gwen the Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula, and Garrison (Gary) the Leopard Gecko.
