Mr. Dave Huston

I am a native Iowan. My wife and I moved to Texas in 1999Plano West is the seventh high school in which I have taught. My wife is a retired English teacher and very often substitutes for me when I am out for debate tournaments. 

I have taught and coached for over 40 years. My students have won several local, regional, and national tournaments. I have coached several state champions, one national runner-up, and two national champions. I am a proud member of the National Speech and Debate Association and have the privilege of serving on their board of directors.

  • I will be available most days at 8:30am and after school beginning at 4:30pm. The best procedure would be to schedule time at least one day in advance.
