I grew up in Plano, Texas.  I attended Christie Elementary, Carpenter Middle School, Clark High School, and Plano East Senior High School.  In 1998, I graduated through the International Baccalaureate Program at Plano East Senior High School.

I graduated from Abilene Christian University with a BA in English.  Also, I graduated from Texas Woman's University with a MA in Women's Studies and a concentration in English.  I taught English at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas from 2006 to 2015.  After I returned to Plano, I became a paraprofessional in Special Education at Plano West in 2016.  In 2017, I began teaching Special Education English IV and Inclusion English IV at Plano West.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading and playing with my cats Gracie and Magic.
