Hybrid Schedule Information for High School - Changes to Calendar
In order to meet the TEA requirement for the number of hours of instruction on campus, we must include an additional day for Cohort A students during the second 9-weeks for all high school and senior high school campuses. This is scheduled for Monday, November 2. Therefore, face-to-face students in Cohort A will attend school on Nov. 2 and School@Home students in Cohort A will have a synchronous day on Nov. 2.
For the week of November 2-6, Monday and Tuesday will flip. Tuesday is a holiday for all PISD students.
Monday, 11/2: Cohort A day
Tuesday, 11/3: Student holiday, teacher planning day
Wednesday, 11/4: Cohort B day
Thursday, 11/5: Cohort A day
Friday, 11/6: Cohort B day
Graduation Date Set for June 5th
Graduation has been set for Saturday, June 5, and Plano West will graduate at 9:30 a.m. It is scheduled to be held at The Star in Frisco. Due to COVID-19, this schedule could change and social distancing protocols may be implemented.

Free Meals for All Plano ISD Students
Due to a USDA waiver, all Plano ISD students (face-to-face & School@Home) will receive free breakfast & lunch meals while USDA funds are available. For curbside pickup locations, schedules & docs you should bring if student is not present, visit http://pisd.edu/grabandgo.
Hybrid Cohort Split for Students Returning to Campus and for Students@Home
Beginning September 9, students who have selected to attend face-to-face return to campuses, and students who have selected PISD School@Home environment at all high schools and senior high schools will implement the hybrid schedule. Students will be divided into two cohorts based on the student’s last name. Student Daily Screening for Return to Campus September 9
Families are requested to begin proactively screening their students for symptoms of COVID-19 and report any symptoms, exposures and quarantines using the COVID-19 Student Reporting Form. A campus nurse will follow up with information on return to campus instruction and timelines.

Free and Reduced Meal Applications
Free and reduced meal applications are now available at www.schoolcafe.com/pisd. If you have never filled out a meal application, just click on “Create a New Account.” Student eligibility status from the 2019-2020 school year will roll over only for the first 30 operating days of school or until a new application has been processed. It is important that households complete an application for the 2020-2021 school year as soon as possible. Households should allow 10 business days for application processing.

Cohort B Hybrid Schedule Adjustment for High School/Senior High Students
Monday, December 14, has been designated as a day for cohort B students (last names beginning with M-Z) to attend school (for face-to-face) or participate in synchronous learning (for School@Home). This day has been switched with Friday, December 18 for cohort B in order to ensure both cohorts participate in synchronous instruction the same number of minutes during the final week of the grading period. Cohort B students will participate in asynchronous activities on December 14.
