Ms. Carrie Bell
A little about myself: I grew up in Plano, Texas and graduated from Plano West Senior High, then graduated from Texas A&M University in 2012 (Whoop!) with a degree in Special Education. After graduating college, I came back to Plano and taught at one of my former high schools for the next 6 years. While teaching at Shepton High School, I served as a Special Education teacher and ran the Behavior Support Classroom and wore many other hats within Special Education over the years. For five of those six years I was also one of the two cheer coaches. I led the team to place in the top 5 at NCA High School Nationals for 4 of those years, and won the coveted jacket and the title of National Champs in 2016!
I left Plano for five years and began teaching English. I taught at Memorial High School in Frisco, Texas as well as Princeton High School in Princeton, Texas. In those years I taught English II, English IV, and AP Language & Composition, and served as a cheer coach again as well as the Student Council sponsor.
When I’m not at school, I can be found spending time with my friends and family and puppy (George), learning new skills or styles to add to my calligraphy and painting hobby, or planning my next big trip across the country or world! My goal as an educator is to build relationships with students to help them "grow to become better humans" while also encouraging them to also become better at whatever skill they want to build (academically, physically, or emotionally).
I am excited to be part of the Wolfpack again and join the amazing English Department!
