Hello!  Thank you for visiting my page.  My name is Jennifer Cox.  I am beginning my third year of teaching at Plano West.  I worked as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse before becoming an educator.  I love being a nurse, and I'm excited to share my passion for patient care as I help to develop our future healthcare professionals.  As a nurse at the bedside, I spent a large portion of my time educating patients and families, and I enjoy translating that educational focus into the classroom. 

I am teaching Health Science Theory, Practicum I in Health Science, and Medical Terminology.  Additionally, I am the co-advisor for the Plano West chapter of HOSA, an organization devoted to future health professionals. 

When I'm not at school, I enjoy cooking, exercising and playing golf, spending time with my husband, as well as traveling to see my kids.  My daughter a Coast Guard officer and my son is a cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
