As an art educator, Suzanne firmly believes that students should be challenged to think critically and creatively, and study art through practice and observation. This enables students to create in anticipation of growth, and it is the educator’s responsibility to facilitate this growth. Because of this, She believes that it is truly important for an art educator to see major works of art firsthand and produce their own art. Therefore, She has visited, studied and created artwork to supply her students with the highest quality education possible.

She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas. She is an actively working artist with a focus in collage, glasswork, and ceramics. She has been professionally commissioned to create artwork for Recycled Paper Greeting Card Company and has had artwork featured on the popular HGTV show, Crafters: Coast to Coast. She enacts high standards for all her students which resulted in her AP 3D program being #1 in the state of Texas from 2009-2013 at Plano West.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling to study architecture, culture, and art in museums across the globe from Centre Pompidou in Paris to local museums like The Kimbell in Fort Worth. She also enjoys cooking and baking, being surrounded by nature, and spending time with her two sons.
