This is my 4th year at Plano West, where I teach AP chemistry, and I am so excited to be here!  I am entering my 23nd year and have taught primarily chemistry all of those years, including AP chemistry the last 13 years.  My degree is in chemistry, and worked in industry for 2 years.  My husband's career then took us to Alaska, Scotland and Saudi Arabia while our 3 awesome children were young, and I was fortunate to be able to be with them during that time.  When we returned to the US, I decided I really wanted to teach, and I have not regretted that decision at all!  I have taught in Midland TX, Sugarland TX, Castle Rock CO and then 11 years at Sachse HS in Garland ISD.  I am currently an AP chemistry coach with the non-profit National Math and Science Initative (NMSI), and I am also a reader (grader) for the AP chemistry exam.  I am a total nerd and love spreading the nerdiness with my students.

I have been married for 37 years, and have three grown happily married children and 6 amazing grandchildren - spread across the country in Texas, Oregon and Virginia.
