Ms. Jean (Jinyun) Yu
I have been teaching English for three decades. After college, I started my teaching career at Xiangnan University in China, first as an English teacher and then as an associate professor of English for a total of thirteen years. In the past seventeen years, I taught high school English for five years at Academy for Academic Excellence in Dallas County and nine years at Guinn SPC in PISD. In 2021, I joined Plano Senior High School as an ESL teacher.
My passion for teaching ESL stems from a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential. I believe every student brings a unique story to the classroom, and my top priority is to provide a supportive and engaging environment where my students feel confident and excited to learn.
I am also the proud mom of a Wildcat graduate who is currently attending the University of Texas School of Law at Austin.
It’s a great day to be a Wildcat!!!
