Hey Wildcats! 

 

My name is Maya Ramirez. I'm so excited to be at Plano Senior High. I am the Assistant Director of the Planoette Varsity Drill Team. I will also be facilitating English 3 Inclusion, and teaching AC Lit. 

 

I am a born and raised Texan. I grew up in Colleyville, Texas and was a part of the Colleyville Heritage Pantera Varsity Drill Team as a Jr. and Sr. Lieutaunt while dancing competitively in various styles all around the DFW Metroplex. I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences with the option of Early Childhood Education. This is my fifth-year teaching in PISD. I started my journey as a first-grade teacher at McCall Elementary School on the east side. This year, I decided to make the big jump to high school to combine my two passions: teaching and dance. 

 

Outside of school, you might find me walking my dog (Chandler- a mini cockapoo), trying new restaurants, binging reality TV shows, traveling,and dancing!

 

 I am so excited to join the tradition and pride of Plano Senior. Go Wildcats!
