Mr. Jason Barton

I attended The Ohio State University where I did not finish my degree in French. After taking a decade off, which I do not recommend, I finished my degree in History with a minor in Secondary Education at the University of North Texas. This is my twenty-second year at PSHS and I have taught U.S. History, AP U.S. History, Sociology and U.S. Government. This year I am facilitating a new class called AP Capstone Research and am excited to see what that holds for the future.

In my spare time, I'm a hockey, and band dad and RV owner, though we don't get to go out as much as we'd like and, also an avid bass angler. This specimen was about three and half pounds caught and released at Pat Mayse Lake in east Texas.

Tutorial Schedule

  • Tutorials will be available for both APUSH and Government on Thursdays during the lunch period, and also on an ad hoc basis. If any student would like to schedule time with me before school or after school for tutorials or to make up work, I will make every effort to be available.
