Mr. Gary Westbrook

Greetings! My name is Gary Westbrook. Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, I am a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where I received a bachelor's degree in elementary education, a master’s in administration and supervision, as well as a master’s degree in the science of teaching Reading. I began my career in education as a 5th grade teacher with the Omaha Public Schools district. After 6 years of teaching, I moved into an administrative position at the central office, working in the department of Student and Community Services. I transitioned back into the building in the role of Assistant Principal in an elementary school. After three years, I decided to take on the position of building principal at a K-4 Magnet school. I worked with truly amazing students, staff, and parents for nine years. My family and I decided to take on a new adventure and relocate to Plano, Texas. Plano has been a great transition for me and my family. I began my administrative career in DFW in the position of Dean of Students at Harmony Public Schools. After which, I took a position with Plano ISD as a Special Education teacher. It comes with great pleasure and pride that I have joined the team at Plano Senior High as an assistant principal. I look forward to sharing my knowledge, skills, and experience with the students, staff, and parents of the Wildcat nation.
