I was born at Plano General Hospital, now Medical Center of Plano, and have grown up near the area ever since. Teaching at Plano Senior High has been like coming home to a second family, the Wildcat family. Before joining Plano, I received my Associates Degree in Literary Sciences from Richland College and my Bachelor's Degree in Historical Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas. This is my eleventh year teaching and my eleventh year at Plano. I desire to be an investor in each child’s future and enable them to achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals. That is what drove me into teaching in the first place! Currently; I teach U.S. History, U.S. History OnRamps for UT Austin, and serve as the U.S. History Team Lead. I truly believe it is my responsibility as a Social Studies educator to provide my students with a quality education by creating a stable classroom environment that encourages open communication of ideas, opinions, and questions. While I am passionate about my subjects, the most important thing to me is each of my student's success through encouragement and challenge.
