Will Cozart, DVM

Hi. I’m excited about joining the Plano East Senior High Science Team to teach Anatomy & Physiology. I believe I’m ready… I admire integrity & work ethic. I respect the form & function of the human body, and I enjoy learning ways to share those wonders. As depicted on the left, I venture through the cracks of life with a smile!

I was raised in Commerce, a small town in northeast Texas. My mother is a retired public school teacher with 32 years in the classroom. My father is a retired general dentist with 38 years of public service. My wife is a marketing manager for Allegis in Plano and a fitness instructor for Stride in McKinney. I have two degrees from Texas A&M University. So, yes. I obviously bleed maroon with a thumb up. I have spent the past 10 years as a clinical practitioner in small animal medicine. I’ve handled tens of thousands of dogs and cats, and I’ve only been bitten twice by dogs and once by a cat. At this stage, I’m transitioning into the classroom to grow in my professional development and impact our future generations. I have a goal to excel in expanding my pedagogical content knowledge (the art of teaching students how to learn a specific subject), and I’m eager for the students and staff here at Plano East to help me.

Currently, my wife and I are living our newlywed life❣️ We have a soft heart for Petcare and are eagerly waiting to meet our next canine companion. 🐾 I’m voting for another Golden or Beagle. She is hoping for a Dalmatian or Papillon. With just over 1 year of marriage, we’re still ironing out the decision making. 🤟🧊
