About the band

  • The Plano East Senior High Band is one the largest student organizations at Plano East Senior High. There are 4 concert bands, a jazz ensemble and percussion class (fall semester only) that meet during the school day. Each band is team-taught, with multiple directors assisting throughout each rehearsal. Private lessons are available for any student during their band class and at other times throughout the school day for a fee. In addition to band classes, there are multiple opportunities for participation in other individual and ensemble performances including All-Region/All-State, Solo & Ensemble, East Plano Chamber Winds and Brass, percussion ensemble and winter guard.  It is the goal of the Plano East band program to provide a balanced and well-rounded music education curriculum for all students.
