Megan Pickle is excited to begin her fifth year on the band staff at Plano East. Prior to her time at East, she served as an Assistant Director at Wilson MS in Central Plano and Allen High School prior to that. During this time, she was the director for the Symphonic II Band and consistently received superior ratings and outstanding recognitions. In 2019, the Symphonic II Band was recognized as a Commended Winner through the Citation of Excellence.

 

She began her teaching career in Plainview, TX, after she completed her undergraduate coursework at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. While a student, she was an active participant in The Goin' Band from Raiderland and served as a Teaching Artist for Lubbock Symphony Orchestra.  

 

Mrs. Pickle is an active member of Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association. 

 

She will be teaching the Concert and Varsity bands as well as assisting with the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Jazz Ensemble.  All three of the band directors work together to teach the Marching Band.  Please feel free to reach out at megan.pickle@pisd.edu with any questions or concerns.
