I am Plano ISD as I attended Weatherford, Haggard, Vines, and Plano Senior High School.
This will be my 30th year in education and 22nd year as the director/teacher of Panther Preschool at Plano East Senior High School.
The greatest joy in teaching is to see students “light up” with knowledge and to know that they will use that information their entire lives. It is essential to convey to my Intro to Teaching students that their role as a teacher to make each day special in the life of their students. Experiences that they plan for students today can make positive difference in the child’s life that will make a difference for a lifetime.
Fun fact: I took the equivalent of Intro to Teaching and Practicum in Education & Training when I went to Plano Senior High School. It confirmed that I wanted to be a teacher and the adventure began!
I knew that I would succeed because of the faith that my former teachers had in me from the very beginning. I am thankful for the incredible opportunity to carry on that legacy and make a positive difference in my students' lives from preschool to senior high.
