LOGGING INTO SCHOOLINKS
Go SchooLinks and use your Google PISD network login and password
OR find the SchooLinks icon on your Web Desk

REQUESTING TRANSCRIPTS
- Log in to SchooLinks and from the dashboard, select “Colleges” and then “College Applications.”
- Complete the set-up information with your home address, personal email and FERPA Waiver.
- To add a school that you’re applying to, select “+ Add Application.”
- Follow the prompts, and it will automatically request a transcript when you add a school.

SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS
Apply Texas- can be used for all Texas Colleges and Universities (including Collin College)
- Go to Apply Texas and set up an account using a personal email address.
- Complete the application and submit for the schools you are applying to. Pay the applicable fees.
The Common Application- can be used for Texas and Out of State Colleges and Universities
- Go to The Common App and set up an account using a personal email.
- Complete the application and submit for the schools you are applying to. Pay the applicable fees.
- In SchooLinks, Select “Colleges” and “College Applications.” Find The Common App Login on the left side of the screen. Log in using your Common App information to connect SchooLinks to The Common App.

RECOMMENDATION LETTERS
- Request a recommendation letter from your counselor by submitting a Counselor Recommendation Form at least 3 weeks prior to the time you want it submitted.
- If teacher letters are required, please ask the teacher prior to submitting a SchooLinks request.
- In SchooLinks in the “College Applications” section, click the pencil to edit the college’s application details. From there, you can follow the prompts to send that teacher an official request.

TEST SCORES
- SAT and ACT scores must be sent to the college(s) by the student through either SAT's Website or ACT's Website. SAT and ACT scores are not included on the transcript.
- Texas schools such as Collin College may require that you take the TSI assessment. Visit the Counseling Office for our TSI testing schedule.

FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS
- Complete the FAFSA for both merit and need-based financial aid (loans, grants, and scholarships). This application can be submitted starting in December.
- Visit SchooLinks and the PSHS Counseling website for scholarship opportunities.
- Students should also check the colleges’ websites for school specific financial aid and scholarships.
