Spring of 11th Grade
- Use the “School Search” in SchooLinks to make a list of schools you’re interested in
- Schedule college campus visits for spring and/or summer
- Take the School Day SAT in March at Plano Senior High
- Schedule an ACT (if needed)

Summer Between 11th and 12th Grades
- Finalize your list of schools in SchooLinks
- Schedule college campus visits for summer and/or fall
- Determine what documents are needed for each of the schools you’re applying to and when they are due (Application, transcripts, test scores, fees, recommendation letters, resume, interview, etc.)
- Start working on your Apply Texas and Common App college applications
- Schedule a final ACT and/or SAT for the fall of 12 th grade (if needed)
- Create an FSA-ID (login) for the FAFSA (a separate one for student and parent)

Fall of 12th Grade
- Set Up College Application Manager to request transcripts through SchooLinks
- Request letters of recommendation from your teachers and/or counselor (if needed)
- Attend College 101 at Plano Senior High and the Plano ISD College Night
- Start working on the FAFSA (and CSS Profile if needed)
- Check the Scholarship List on our website and in SchooLinks for scholarship opportunities
- Submit your finalized applications for admission before the due dates

Spring of 12th Grade
- Submit the FAFSA and any other financial aid and scholarship applications before the due dates
- Submit any additional applications for admission that have spring due dates
- Make your final decision and submit appropriate deposits
- Complete Senior Year End Activity in SchooLinks to have your transcript sent to the college you’re attending
- Graduate!
