Advancement Via Individual Determination

AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a program designed to increase student learning and performance school-wide.  AVID specifically focuses on supporting and encouraging students to succeed as a well-rounded student, especially those who are first generation college–bound.  AVID students also enjoy the benefits of outside enrichment and motivational activities.

Students are selected to enroll in an AVID after an application and interview process. AVID students learn organizational and study skills, they engage in critical thinking while receiving support from peers and college tutors. The confidence and the leadership skills developed in AVID are laying the foundation that will enable students to, learn, grow and succeed!
