I was born and raised in Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.  I moved to Texas right after graduation and got my first teaching job in Plano in 2007.  I love animals, especially dogs, but I love my 2 dogs the most! 

My Why:

I want to be the advocate for my students that my teachers were for me.  I love watching my students grow and change and I enjoy being a part of the celebrations for each success and helping them learn from mistakes that we all make along the way.  I hope to bring the joy of reading and the power of words to each and every one of my students.
