Ms. Jennifer Hoffman

My interest in helping people with special needs came from my mother. She was initially an instructor of the hearing impaired and then worked as an overall special educator when I was in middle school. From spending time in her classrooms, I realized that I, too, wanted to work with people who had special needs in some way.

After completing my master’s degree, I returned to my home school district of Carrollton-Farmers Branch to work as a speech-language pathologist. I work with students of all ages with various speech, language, and cognitive challenges, including children in need of alternative communication methods. Due to a desire to expand my experiences as a speech pathologist, I joined the staff of Speech & Language Services of North Texas at the Plano clinic and have enjoyed helping children and families in that setting for several years now. I began my work at Plano West Senior High in 2016 and have loved working with older speech student beginning to transition on post-high school skills.

I love helping children of all ages become the best communicators they can be, and through them, I learn how to become a better communicator myself!
