• Registration Directions for New Applicants (for teachers)

    Important notice: In order for you to receive an entry ticket into the Teacher Job Fair, you must submit an online application correctly in order for the District to receive your registration. Pay close attention to the documents that you will need to upload to your application.

    Reminder: Once you submit your application, you will receive an email with instructions for completing the Gallup Teacher Insight assessment. You MUST complete the Gallup assessment before your application is accepted.

    Begin an application with Plano ISD by going here:

    Under “contact origin,” you will need to choose, “June 2018 Job Fair” (see example below).  
    Job Fair

    Under the “attachments” section, attach the following documents based on your experience.

    All documents below must be attached to your application by the deadline of June 1, 2018 at 3pm.

    If you are a Spring 2018 semester graduate:

    1. University-issued Letter of Intent
    2. Resume
    3. Copy of unofficial transcripts

    If you are an Alternatively Certified candidate:

    1. Current statement of eligibility from your program
    2. Resume
    3. Copy of college transcript(s) from all colleges attended

    If you are an out of state candidate graduating Spring 2018:

    1. University-issued Letter of Intent
    2. Resume
    3. Copy of unofficial transcripts

    Note: Upon graduation, you will be required to complete an out of state credential review through the Texas Education Agency before being eligible for hire.

    Elementary candidates must be ESL certified*. (*This requirement does not include elementary art, music, and physical education teachers.)

    Out of state elementary teachers who do not hold ESL certification must complete all content tests and PPR, establish a standard certificate before taking the ESL supplemental test and add the additional certification(s) to their standard certificate before being eligible for hire.

    If you are an out of state candidate with teaching experience:

    1. One-year certificate issued by TEA
    2. Resume
    3. Copy of college transcript(s) from all colleges attended

    Eligible Applicants who meet the registration requirements by June 1, 2018 at 3pm will be mailed an invitation to the Teacher & Classroom Paraprofessional Job Fair through U.S. postal mail. You will use the invitation as your entry ticket into the fair.

    Important notice: In order for you to receive an entry ticket into the Teacher Job Fair, you must update your current application with us in order for the District to receive your registration. Pay close attention to the documents that you will need to upload to your application if you have not already.

    Existing applicants with an application already on file, please log in to TEAMS and update your application by clicking on the link below.

    “If you are a paraprofessional seeking a promotion to a teaching position, and you wish to attend the Teacher Job Fair, please select ‘Yes.’

    Answering this question will serve as your application to Teacher Job Fair.

  • Registration Directions for Current Plano ISD Auxiliary Employees (who are seeking a classroom paraprofessional position)

    Important notice:  In order for you to receive an entry ticket into the Job Fair, you must submit a transfer application correctly in order for the District to receive your registration.

    2. Under “additional questions”, make sure you answer the following question:

    “If you are an Auxiliary Staff member (FANS, PASAR, Transportation, Employee Child Care Aide, or Facility Services) seeking a classroom paraprofessional position, and you wish to attend the Teacher Job Fair, please select ‘Yes.’

    Answering this question will serve as your application to the Job Fair. 

    Eligible Applicants who meet the registration requirements by June 1, 2018 at 3pm will be mailed an invitation to the Job Fair through U.S. postal mail. You will use the invitation as your entry ticket into the fair.

  • Criminal History Guidelines

    Every person who wishes to serve as a District employee, volunteer, camp counselor, private teacher or contractor, or any other person who will have contact with District students shall have a criminal history search performed. More information

    The 80th Texas Legislature passed Senate Bill 9 (SB 9), which mandated the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to acquire criminal history through fingerprint submission on: (1) all certified educators who are currently employed, (2) all substitutes and (3) non-certified employees hired after January 1, 2008. This process requires the individual to hold a state-issued driver's license or state-issued ID card.
