    Important notice: This is event requires you to register through our online application system in order to receive an invitation to the job fair. Please be timely and adhere to the registration deadline of April 10, 2020 at 5pm.

    In order for you to be invited to the Teacher Job Fair, the following qualifications must be met:

    • Complete registration application and submit all required documents by Friday, April 10, 2020 at 5pm. This timeline will be strictly enforced.
    • Must hold, or be eligible for, a valid Texas Teaching Certificate.
    • Elementary candidates must be ESL certified*. (*This requirement does not include elementary art, music, and physical education teachers.)
    • All 6-12 grade English teacher candidates must be ESL certified.
    • Must successfully pass the criminal history/background check as part of your electronic application process.

    Current 2019-2020 Plano ISD teachers are not eligible to attend the Teacher Job Fair.

    Eligible applicants who meet the registration requirements will be e-mailed an invitation to the Teacher Job Fair. You will need to print the invitation to use as your entry ticket into the fair.

    We kindly ask that you do not contact our office or campuses with inquiries. Questions regarding the Job Fair should be directed to pisdjobfair@pisd.edu.

  • Registration Directions for New Teacher Applicants

    Important notice: In order for you to receive an invitation to the Teacher Job Fair, you must submit an online application correctly in order for the District to receive your registration. Pay close attention to the documents that you will need to upload to your application.

    Reminder: Once you submit your application, you will receive an email with instructions for completing the Gallup Teacher Insight assessment. You MUST complete the Gallup assessment before your application is considered completed.

    Under “contact origin,” you must choose, “April 2020 Teacher Job Fair” (see example below). 

    April 2020 Job Fair

    Under the “attachments” section, attach the following documents based on your experience.

    All documents below must be attached to your application by the deadline of April 10, 2020 at 5pm.

    If you are a Spring 2020 semester graduate:

    1. University-issued Letter of Intent (ask your university program for it)
    2. Resume
    3. Copy of unofficial transcripts (preferred)

    If you are an Alternatively Certified candidate:

    1. Statement of eligibility from your program (not your acceptance letter)
    2. Resume
    3. Copy of college transcript(s) from all colleges attended (preferred)

    If you are an out of state candidate graduating Spring 2020:

    1. University-issued Letter of Intent (ask your university program for it)
    2. Resume
    3. Copy of unofficial transcripts (preferred)

    Note: Upon graduation, you will be required to complete an out of state credential review through the Texas Education Agency before being eligible for hire.

    Out of state elementary and 6-12 English teachers who do not hold ESL certification must complete all content tests and PPR, establish a standard certificate before taking the ESL supplemental test and add the additional certification(s) to their standard certificate before being eligible for hire.

    If you are an out of state candidate with teaching experience:

    1. Out of state credential review process started with TEA.
    2. Resume
    3. Copy of college transcript(s) from all colleges attended (preferred)

    Important notice: In order for you to receive an invitation to the Teacher Job Fair, you must update your current application with us in order for the District to receive your registration. Pay close attention to the documents that you will need to upload to your application if you have not already.

    Existing applicants with an application already on file, please log in to TEAMS and update your application by clicking on the link below.

  • Registration Directions for Current Plano ISD Classroom Support Staff (seeking teaching position)

    Important notice: In order for you to receive an invitation to the Teacher Job Fair, you must submit a transfer application correctly in order for the District to receive your registration.

    1. Complete the transfer application in TEAMS.
    2. Under “additional questions”, make sure you answer the following question:

    “If you are a paraprofessional seeking a promotion to a teaching position, and you wish to attend the Teacher Job Fair, please select ‘Yes.’

    Answering this question will serve as your registration for the Teacher Job Fair. 

    All documents below must be attached to your application by the deadline of April 10, 2020 at 5pm.

    If you are a Spring 2020 semester graduate:

    1. University-issued Letter of Intent (ask your university program for it)

  • Criminal History Guidelines

    Every person who wishes to serve as a District employee, volunteer, camp counselor, private teacher or contractor, or any other person who will have contact with District students shall have a criminal history search performed. More information

    The 80th Texas Legislature passed Senate Bill 9 (SB 9), which mandated the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to acquire criminal history through fingerprint submission on: (1) all certified educators who are currently employed, (2) all substitutes and (3) non-certified employees hired after January 1, 2008. This process requires the individual to hold a state-issued driver's license or state-issued ID card.
