Several Plano ISD schools were recognized yesterday by the City of Plano for their environmental stewardship. The city’s Green School Program is intended to empower school communities and to foster pride while teaching and modeling respect for the environment and natural resources. 

Congratulations to the following schools awarded 2022 Green Schools Certification:

• Boggess Elementary School
• Brinker Elementary School
• Centennial Elementary School
• Hedgcoxe Elementary School
• Hughston Elementary School
• Mathews Elementary School
• McCall Elementary School
• Sailing Elementary School
• Stinson Elementary School 
• Murphy Middle School
• Plano West Senior High School 

Brinker, Hedgcoxe, McCall, and Plano West all won a $500 prize for going beyond the requirements.
