At the November 1 board meeting, the Plano ISD Board of Trustees welcomed the following new administrative appointment for the 2022-23 school year. 

Laura Zimmer
Director of Counseling Services

Mrs. Zimmer, now in her second year with Plano ISD, has been named the new Director of Counseling Services. She most recently served as a coordinator for Counseling Counseling services. Prior to joining the district in 2021, she was a counseling facilitator and high school counselor in Garland ISD, a high school counselor in Irving ISD, and a teacher/coach in Rockwall ISD. When asked what she was most excited about taking on in her new role, Mrs. Zimmer answered "developing school counselor leaders and implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that serves all students across Plano ISD."
