Plano ISD Board Vice President Named 2020 Plano Citizen of the Year

Board Vice President Jeri Chambers has been named the 2020 Plano Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year and was recognized by her fellow trustees at the October 6, 2020 school board meeting. Annually, the Chamber of Commerce accepts nominations for the award. The award recognizes a Plano citizen for personal contributions over a period of years (outside of regular work duties) that have contributed to the welfare and advancement of Plano.

As a Plano resident for more than 25 years, Ms. Chambers is a dedicated advocate for our City, the Plano ISD community and beyond. She was named Collin County Woman of the Year in 2019 and currently serves as the Communities Foundation of Texas Donor Relations Officer for Collin County where she engages with local non-profit organizations providing support for Collin County’s most vulnerable citizens. Ms. Chambers is a graduate of Leadership Plano and Leadership North Texas. She is active in the Junior League of Collin County and is the creator and founder of the Sci-Tech Discovery Center. Ms. Chambers is a former Plano ISD teacher.
